Designer Syomir Izwa started his brand in the modest surroundings of his own home - but little did the bourgeoning designer know that his creations would one day come to drape the shoulders of high-profile celebrities and members of Malaysian royalty.

Born Syomir Izwa Sen-Gupta in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the designer completed his secondary education at a local vocational school, before receiving his Diploma in Women’s Wear at the renowned La Salle International Design School in Kuala Lumpur. Since then, the designer has come a long way in paving a name for himself in the local fashion industry, and today is the creative director for the fashion powerhouse Syomirizwa Gupta.

Syomir’s distinguished designs have graced the feminine silhouettes of many women – ranging from blushing brides to A-list actresses, entertainers and T.V. hosts, including popular songstress Yuna & Dato Sheila Majid to name a few.

The designer was also commissioned by a number of online retail companies, including Zalora – for which the designer was commissioned to produce the Syomir Izwa for Zalora Eid line. In addition to his hugely successful line for Zalora’s Eid collections, the designer most recently unveiled his 2019 RTW Collection at the recent Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2019, officially closing the year’s Fashion Week event
